About

The Desert Motorcycle Club was formed in 1967 and was incorporated with the State of California in 1968. There were nine original Desert MC members. The Club has since grown to approximately one hundred members in various membership categories. Throughout its history, Desert MC has hosted various types of events such as enduros, hare scrambles and euro scrambles, but has primarily hosted hare ‘n’ hound events, many that have been AMA Nationals.

Desert MC and its’ members promote rider safety, education and environmental responsibility through the sport of motorcycle racing and further supports motorcycling by offering friendship to fellow enthusiasts. Many Club members participate in events to raise money for charitable causes like the “Ride for Kids” (Pediatric Brain Tumor Research) and the Colorado 500 Charity rides. Desert MC also supports the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro).

Although Desert MC is primarily a racing club, we do have many members who road ride and dual-sport ride. Desert MC is a mixture of members who are family oriented, but still like to have fun. The skill levels in Desert MC range from Beginner to Expert, with some members having held AMA National & District 37 #1 plates.

Desert MC traditionally has a summer pool party and a year-end awards dinner. Our meetings are held at Round Table Pizza in the City of Brea, on the third Wednesday of the month starting at 7:30 PM. Fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, interested in joining Desert MC, can come and meet us at D37 Desert events or at the Club monthly meetings.

The next Desert MC race will be Round 1 of the National Hare ‘n’ Hound Series to be held on January 25, 2015. Hope to see you there!
