About

Desert Motorcycle Club

Since its formation in 1967 and incorporation in 1968, Desert MC has been a cornerstone of off-road motorcycle racing in California’s high desert. From our humble beginnings with nine original members, we’ve grown into a thriving community of approximately one hundred members, united by a passion for two wheels and the thrill of desert racing.

Our Racing Past and Community Spirit

While we’ve hosted a variety of events over the years, including enduros, hare scrambles, and euro scrambles, Desert MC is best known for our hare ‘n’ hound events, many of which have been prestigious AMA Nationals. Our club and its members are deeply committed to promoting rider safety, education, and environmental responsibility within the sport. Beyond the competitive aspect, we foster a strong sense of friendship and camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts.

Many of our members extend their passion beyond the racecourse, actively participating in charitable events like the “Ride for Kids” (supporting Pediatric Brain Tumor Research) and the Colorado 500 Charity rides. We also proudly support the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro).

More Than Desert Racers: Our Diverse Membership

While Desert MC is primarily a racing club, our members enjoy all facets of motorcycling, with many also participating in road riding and dual-sport adventures. We’re a family-oriented club where fun and camaraderie go hand-in-hand. Our members represent a wide range of skill levels, from Beginner to Expert, and we’re proud to have members who have achieved top honors, including AMA National and District 37 #1 plates.

Connect with Desert MC

Our monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at The SandBar & Grill in Montclair. If you’re a fellow motorcycle enthusiast interested in joining Desert MC, we invite you to meet us at District 37 Desert events or at one of our monthly meetings.
